Comets

The Comets program is chorus designed to help young men boys ages nine and up become better musicians. This group continues the musicianship training they received in Caroling Kids andTwinkling Stars with more advanced vocal techniques, performance skills, ear training, and sight singing. These young men rehearse with the Starlights on Mondays in Mill Valley from 4:00pm-5:30pm.

The comets are currently rehearsing with the Starlights. As the program gains more and more singers, the Comets will break away from the Starlights in order to hold its own rehearsals and work on separate repertoire.

Among other potential performances, they will be a part of community outreach concerts throughout the semester for retirement homes and health care facilities in order to give others the joy of song. At the end of the Fall semester, the Comets will perform with all the other SingersMarin choruses in a special Holiday Concert at the Marin Center Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium.

In Comets, these young musicians continue to grow, learn, and make friends. The lessons of professionalism and self-assurance, and the relationships that these young men forge during their time with Comets will last a lifetime. Come and be a part of something new and exciting!
