Starlights

Starlights is the next level chorus. This is a non-auditioned chorus for young ladies wishing to continue their musical training and performance. The Starlights continue their musicianship training with more advanced vocal techniques, performance skills, ear training, and sight singing. After one semester, girls may audition for the select chorus for their age group, Celestial Voices, or remain in the Starlights program.

Rehearsals for this program are held once a week, on Monday's in Mill Valley from 4:00pm-5:30pm.

These girls have performed throughout Marin County at Farmer’s Markets, the Marin County Fair, and for various church services. A recent special event for this group was caroling during the holiday season at Ghirardelli Square in downtown San Francisco. Throughout the semester they also perform for retirement homes and health care facilities in order to give others the joy of song. At the end of the Fall semester, the Starlights will perform with all the other SingersMarin choruses in a special Holiday Concert at the Marin Center Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium.

In Starlights, these young musicians continue to grow, learn, and make friends. The lessons of professionalism and poise, and the relationships that these young ladies forge during their time with Starlights will last a lifetime.
