Twinkling Stars & Caroling Kids

Twinkling Stars and Caroling Kids are part of the same choral program for all children ages six to eight. This program is designed to teach children traditional pieces in order to keep this music tangible and alive for another generation of musicians.

During the Fall semester, the Caroling Kids learn traditional Christmas carols, Hanukkah songs, and other seasonal favorites, and perform them at events across Marin County. Previous venues include the Dickens Faire, downtown Mill Valley’s Winter Fest, Larkspur Tree Lighting, and caroling on the main streets of various towns in Marin County. Other special events have included Harvest Festival performances during October in which they perform the Peanuts Pumpkin Carols, Halloween-inspired renditions of traditional Holiday tunes. Throughout the semester they perform for retirement homes and health care facilities in order to give others the joy of song. At the end of the Fall semester, the Caroling Kids will perform with all the other SingersMarin choruses in a special Holiday Concert at the Marin Center Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium.

Twinkling Stars continues this fantastic program into the Spring concert season. This semester they will perform a variety of American and international folksongs, popular songs, and contemporary compositions. Past performances include singing along the race course of the Marin Human Race, a county-wide charity event, and at local Farmer’s Markets, in addition to community service performances for the elderly. Singers during this semester are also contacted for performances at the beginning of the Fall semester, before the Caroling Kids are fully prepared for performance.
