Marin Human Race 2005

Saturday May 7, 2005 is the 23rd annual Marin Human Race, a fundraising event that benefits SingersMarin along with many other nonprofit agencies in our county. Attended by over 4,000 community members, it is the largest race and largest collaborative fundraiser in the county. The event includes a certified 4-mile racecourse, a kids race course, a nonprofit agency fair, a family fun fair, music from over a dozen bands, free refreshments, giveaways, and fun activities for people of all ages.

The Human Race is a huge opportunity for SingersMarin to raise money for scholarships, retirement home programs, and to keep the choral arts alive and flourishing in our community. The key to success is PARTICIPATION. Our goal this year is for ALL members and friends of SingersMarin to participate in some way. If everyone does a little bit, it will add up to something big!

We invite you to participate by

SPECIAL: this year, members of Twinkling Stars ONLY are invited to sing as an ensemble, at a location along the race route. They will entertain thousands of racers who pass by. We've done this in past years and it's really fun. As race participants, singers may collect sponsorship donations for their participation. The performance will take place from about 8-10 in the morning. Members are encouraged to collect as many donations as possible. P lease RSVP to sing@singersmarin.org, by Monday, April 11.

Enjoy a wonderful community event, and feel good about supporting the arts in Marin! Be part of the 2005 Marin Human race. Registration and donation forms, along with an instruction sheet, are available at all Singers Marin rehearsals, as well as at the SingersMarin office, or by calling Mark Shepherd at 415-302-8483. Please collect donations and return forms to Singers Marin by April 28 .
